A designated RN for your nurse registry
Need a designated RN for licensure, or RN documentation for your clients' long-term care insurance? I can serve as the RN available for referral in your licensure application and records, so you can get licensed and operating without contracting a nurse up front. I’ll also complete and sign the Client-Directed Plan of Care that long-term care insurers ask for. You book a short call, I call your client’s family directly, and I fax the signed document to you and the insurance company.
6-month agreement, billed monthly. Renews in 6-month terms until canceled with 30 days' written notice.
What's included
- RN designation for licensure purposes. List me as an RN available for referral in your application and records while the agreement is in effect.
- LTCI Plan of Care. Up to 2 per calendar month. Book a short call from your member page. I get the client’s and family’s contact information from you, call the family directly, then complete, sign, and fax a Client-Directed Plan of Care to you and the insurance company, typically within 2 business days. You can track each request’s status in your member page. Unused requests don't roll over.
Arranged and billed separately
- Additional LTCI Plans of Care beyond 2 per month
- Home visits and formal nursing evaluations or assessments, arranged case by case
- General consulting and document review, available through Hourly Review & Advisory
Why me
I'm Scott Strachan, RN, BSN. I've been the administrator of Abby Services, Inc., a licensed Florida nurse registry in Fort Myers, since 2007, and I've worked in Florida nurse registries since 1997. The RN on your license will be someone who understands how a registry actually operates day to day, including the independent-contractor referral model. More about me
After you sign up
Once you sign up, here's what happens:
- I send my credentials. I'll reach out and send what you need to register me as an independent contractor RN, such as my license information, resume, training certificates, health statement, and W-9. I'll provide sensitive details for your application directly. My Level 2 background screening is already in the AHCA Clearinghouse.
- You register me like any referred independent contractor. Complete your usual registration file, including license verification, photo ID, adding me to your AHCA Clearinghouse roster, and your rules and statutes acknowledgment. I'll complete and sign any IC registration paperwork you use.
- You add me to your AHCA records. If you're applying for licensure, list me in your application. If you're already licensed, you may need to update your information through AHCA's online portal.
- Billing. Your monthly fee is billed by Nurse Registry Consultant, LLC. Services are performed by Scott Strachan, RN, BSN.
Good to know
- This is an independent-contractor arrangement. I don't supervise caregivers, direct your operations, or serve as your Administrator, Alternate Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
- The Plan of Care reflects the care your client and their family request, as they report it. It isn’t a nursing assessment. Client information is handled by phone and fax only, never through this website.
- Requests are handled during normal business hours. This plan doesn't include emergency or after-hours availability.
- Full terms are in the Nurse of Record Agreement.
Let's see if it's the right fit
