What makes that remarkable is that Scott is, for all intents and purposes, a competitor. But that's not how he operates. He wants to lift up the entire registry industry, and he's a tireless advocate for protecting it.
Before I met Scott, I was running my nurse registry the best way I knew how, and I didn't even realize I wasn't thinking about the registry business the right way. Scott opened my eyes to all of it. He introduced me to the Private Care Association and to Russ Hollrah, Esq., along with many other members who helped me understand this business in ways I never imagined. I now attend the PCA conference every year and take part in the webinars, and that involvement has been a big part of our growth.
One of the most valuable things Scott taught me goes beyond the overall registry concept: how a registry should treat independent contractors as independent contractors, and what that looks like day to day. His approach to registry operations is compliant but practical, which is exactly what an owner needs.
Through all of it, Scott has been someone I can call or text about anything. I consider him a confidant and a good friend. He's also genuinely interesting and a great conversationalist, which never hurts. I'd recommend him to anyone in this business without hesitation.
